Shrimadramayana is the pulse of every Indian, and those dedicated to Sanatana Dharma (eternal obligation) in particular. Sage Valmiki scripted and gifted Shrimadramayana epic in Sanskrit.  Rishi Vedavyasa recreated the epic kavya as Adhyatma Ramayana in the form of the famous dialogue (samvada) between Shiva & Parvathi in Brahmanda Purana.  It’s noteworthy that while sage Valmiki depicted Shri Rama as the ideal human being in Shrimadramayana, Parama Shiva praised Shri Rama as God’s incarnation in Adhyatma Ramayana. Valmiki Ramayana highlights the worldly virtues. Adhyatma Ramayana proclaims the unity between Jeevathma and Paramathma in the backdrop of Moksha. Having Sanskrit lost it’s sheen and usage with passage of time, most of the Indians have become disadvantaged to understand the epic Ramayana originally scripted in Sanskrit, though versions of the epic are available in all Indian languages.

Ramayana Kalpavriksham, Molla Ramayanam, Rangnatha Ramayanam are the Telugu versions of Ramayana epic. As these are scripted in grandhic Telugu, the versions are beyond the comprehension of most of the Telugu people who are used to functional Telugu.

Adhyathma Ramayana Keertanalu scripted in simple, contemporary lyrical Telugu by Shri Munipalle Seshadri Subrahmanya Kavi have become instantly popular and Telugu households relished the keertanas like madhura payasam. Rendition by venerable musicians, and singers has made Adhyathma Ramayana keertanalu even popular.

Music has been composed so far for 104 keertanas  in 58 Ragas. We endeavor to continue to present more keertanas in due course.
